Our first task was making their website responsive, so that site users can view scarscare.ca across a variety of platforms and devices. After that, we focused on data migration. Each page, post, and animal was brought over from the old website and reformatted. We then created custom post types in order to have animals viewed how the SCARS team thought was best.
We also customized the back-end so that a variety of custom site users, all with different permissions, are available. SCARS required users with a variety of different roles, and so a high level of classification on the back end was required to keep the website organized effectively.
